Three, Two, Won
Last month saw the end of Bureau’s exclusive UK tour with innovative Danish design brand, Won. Held in London’s super chic Soho district, the Bureau Gallery London event was an intimate gathering of designers, architects and industry experts.
After multiple Bureau showcases across the UK, including a VIP event at the Gleneagles Hotel, Won’s end-of-tour event just so happened to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the iconic moon landing, which greatly influenced the retro-modernist theme of the evening. With sponsors including Linie Design, Andrew Martin and Goldhart, the Bureau Gallery London event was a showcase of contemporary style and sophistication. Designed by Alex MacRae, UK Showroom & Events Manager at Bureau, every detail was meticulously planned with expert precision.
A perfect setting to showcase impressive new collections from Won Design, Andrew Martin and Linie Design. The strong turnout from the Architecture and Design Community was very much appreciated, as was the positive feedback from our guests. Looking forward to the next!
Fresh, trendy and quirky, Won deliver elite Danish design with passion and innovation. Respecting quality, form and craftsmanship, Won are taking the Nordic lifestyle to new heights by combining traditional Danish design techniques with a more modern and dynamic approach. Products featured at the event included; the alluring Canoe Daybed, versatile Poff sofa system, minimalist Meta lamp and bestselling Mango chair to name a few.
In keeping with the intergalactic theme of the evening, brand new neon artworks by Andrew Martin were on display. The 70’s inspired Space Girl features an alluring astronaut dressed in a NASA x Louis Vuitton space suit, with a glowing neon helmet to highlight her captivating gaze. Andrew Martin’s avant garde pieces added playful statements to the space.
Pulling the whole astronomical aesthetic together were the beautifully hand-tufted rugs by Linie Designs of Denmark. Perfectly plush, the geometric shapes of the Suay rug aligned perfectly with Won’s planetary marble Floema coffee tables, creating a wonderfully stylish yet very subtle cosmic flare.
Adding to the ambience of the evening and giving a nod to Bureau’s Scottish heritage was Gold Hart, luxury fragranced candles made and inspired by Scotland. The intoxicating scents and flickering light provided by Gold Hart made the whole event a delight to the senses.
A huge success, the first Bureau Gallery London event united designers, architects, art and accessories in an enchanting social setting. We’re already looking forward to the next one…
