Building on the success achieved with the launch of their business in Glasgow, Clockwise aimed to provide contemporary, flexible offices and meeting spaces in Northern Ireland's capital. They chose to locate in the newly refurbished River House Building in Belfast's cultural and creative heart, the Cathedral Quarter.

Having established a good working relationship on the Clockwise Glasgow project, Bureau had a keen understanding of how best to elevate the design through their skillful choice of furniture.

Bureau worked with designers, Aedas to maximise the light-filled space and create a welcoming interior that catered to the various requirements for privacy, collaboration and communal meeting areas. Maintaining brand identity with the consistent quality and style of furniture, whilst enhancing the River House's individual environment was key to the brief.

Bureau know how to get maximum benefit from the budget and elevate the interior design with a skilfully curated range of furniture. Having worked with Clockwise previously on our Glasgow co-working space, they understood our requirements for brand consistency whilst also considering new products that enhance the River House space.

Comfort in communal spaces

Mid-century modern furniture, from a wide range of furniture suppliers, was specified to complement the 1960's architecture and exposed brick ceilings. Moooi's Nut chair, Hay armchairs, Normann Copenhagen Ace chair, and Fritz Hansen's Favn sofa, created a 'home from home' comfort in communal spaces.

Trends in commercial interiors

The blend of styles includes Hay's Silhouette high back chairs and &Tradition coffee table in the main, communal area. Welcoming visitors to the space, it reflects the trend for adding a residential feel to a commercial space.

Communal spaces are bright and inviting. A quirky touch is added with Hitch Mylius modular sofas.

Workspace bar stools

Muuto Nerd high stools added to the Scandinavian design aesthetic, keeping it informal and relaxed. Workstories' comfortable Sling stools and Mix benches make good use of space and add to the wide variety of seating options available.

Boardroom Furniture

For more formal, private meetings, style and sophistication in the boardroom comes from the Vitra conference table and La Palma conference chairs.

Maintaining brand consistency in the office space, Viasit task chairs and Workstories' desks provided a trustworthy solution without impacting heavily on the budget.
